Project Monitoring and Evaluation Cell (PM&EC), Ministry of Education and Trainings has plan to visits PPQP office to monitor and evaluate the activities of PPQP project, Team comprises of IT Specialist, Monitoring Officers and Research Officer will visit as a special assignment on June 12th 2013 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Consequent upon recommendation by Central Selection Board (CSB) and approval by Prime Minister, Pakistan Mr. HameedUllah Khan has been promoted to the post of Director General (BPS-20), National Talent Pool under Ministry of Education and Trainings. He has taken up his responsibilities as Director General National Talent Pool on May 06 2013.

National Conference Leadership 2013 was arranged by PROGRESS in collaboration with Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabd on 29th April 2013, at Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad. DG, NTP Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha was invited as distinguished guest.

A meeting held between DG NTP and Head of The Pulmonology Department MH Rawalpindi on 13 March 2013 to discuss the visit plan of Dr. Ali Musani, Assistant Professor Deptt of Medicine & Pediatrics/Director, USA. CPSP will provide the audio video conferencing facility.

Dr. Ali Musani, Assistant Professor Deptt of Medicine & Pediatrics/Director, Lung Nodule Clinic and International Pulmonology Fellowship Program, USA will provide comprehensive trainings to Military Hospital Rawalpindi and other Institutions in Pakistan. Dr. Musani will introduce LUNGS STENT Technology, first time in the History of Pakistan.

The 5th programme management committee (PMC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of secretary MET, dated 11th March 2013 in the committee Room C-Block, Pak Secretariat Islamabad. The meeting was attended by the vice chancellor head of department of various universities i.e DOW University Karachi, Bahria University, LCWU, NUST, Agricultural University, Khyber Medical College etc and other institution. Total 22 cases of HQOPs presented in the PMC meeting, out of which 18 cases approved by the committee.

Next meeting of Project Management Committee (PMC) is scheduled to be held on 11th March, 2013 at committee room, MET. The Secretary, MET will chair the PMC.

A meeting is scheduled to be held in Planning Commission under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission to review the performance of development projects. Secretary MET and DG NTP/PPQP will Present the achievements of Presidents Program for 3rd quarter of current Financial Year.

Director General, Social Sector (Projects) Mr.Fazal Hakeem Khattak chaired the meeting at PPMI dated 30th January 2013. Director General, NTP gave detail briefing about the excellent performance of PPQP project. Director General, social sector (projects) desired that scope of this project is comprehensive and need propagation at appropriate level. He suggested that D.G, NTP will disseminate the objectives, achievements and possible avenue of expertise of HQoPs to circulation and even media.

Meeting of DG NTP with Dr. Shahab Karni, Coordinator of Trade Expo in USA alongwith Mr. Aamab Jaffri was held on 17th January, 2013 at Plot # 39, H-9 islamabad.

10th International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT’ 12) in collaboration with COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, CIIT, is underway at Islamabad Pakistan. 22 international speakers are presenting their papers. PPQP team also participating in the event for awareness and marketing.

International Forensic Sciences Conference is in progress at Sareena Hotel Islamabad. National Talent Pool (PPQP) has celebrated with Forensic peoples (Organizers) to aware the working of NTP (PPQP) and for proper propagation, NTP (PPQP) host a market place / Stall for participant. Director General NTP will be the speaker to address the role of Pakistani Talents in advancement of Forensic Sciences.

The Governor Sindh has desired to host a seminar at governor house to apprise the vice chancellors of excellent initiative of president of Pakistan. The conference shall be chaired by chancellors of public and private sector universities of province. The vice chancellors / deans of various faculties shall have free interaction with the technical team of PPQP, after presentation by the DG NTP.

A delegation headed by Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Trainings and DG, NTP visited Minister of Higher Education and Vocational Trainings, KPK to share the objectives and functions of NTP/PPQP.

Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Trainings along with DG, NTP briefed Governor and Speaker KPK about the charter of NTP.

Dr. Fayyaz Ahmad Ranjha, DG NTP visited Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS) Khyber Medical University KPK and give a detail brief to VC Prof. Dr. Hafeez Ullah and all other faculty members Prof. Dr. Shad Muhammad Dean, Dr Asif, Dr. Asya Bukhari and other faculty members. They also appreciated the efforts of NTP.

Mr.Qamar uz Zaman Ch, Secretary, E & T appreciated the effort of NTP and PPQP team to initiate the ideas and developed this innovative system of QMS and informed the house that this system will be helpful to facilitate HQPs, host organization and other visitor to submit their query and reply online.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification for change of the name of Ministry as "Ministry of Education and Training".
